Mediation

"...at the forefront of the ADR revolution" Chambers & Partners

Many members of Serle Court have gained a wide experience of acting as counsel in mediations across our range of practice areas over the past few years, and a number have undergone specific training to help them hone the skills needed in that context. But Serle Court's mediation expertise is far broader than that - we are home to a significant number of trained and experienced mediators, and are, in consequence, widely regarded as one of the leading mediation sets.

Serle Court Mediators bring to the mediation process the skills which they have honed in their legal practices, including thorough preparation, objective risk analysis, commercial awareness and an in-depth knowledge of litigation, combined with mediation skills and a wide experience both as mediators and representatives in mediation.

Under the standard Serle Court Mediation Agreement we offer a fixed arrangement to cover preparation of up to five hours and a mediation of one day to 6.00pm with additional time being charged at an agreed hourly rate. Individual mediation CVs are available under the mediators section and the standard mediation agreement can be obtained from our clerks.

Our clerks can offer you a choice of mediators suitable to your dispute as well as advise on individual charging rates, venues and other administrative matters.

Mediated disputes include:

  • Commercial contracts
  • Company
  • Banking
  • ICT
  • Partnership
  • Property
  • Trusts
  • Probate
  • Professional negligence
  • Employment
  • Charities
  • Church
  • Financial services
