Jonathan practises in all core areas of Chambers’ work. He is especially renowned for his cross-border work. He has a pre-eminent reputation in private international law. He is also well-known for his expertise in the field of international trusts.
He is an editor of Dicey, Morris and Collins, The Conflict of Laws; and a contributor to Underhill and Hayton, Law of Trusts and Trustees and International Trust Laws.
Recently appeared in Granatino v Radmacher, heard before nine members of the Supreme Court. The case concerned the weight to be given to a pre-nuptial agreement in ancillary relief proceedings.
Jonathan is also Professor of International Commercial Law at the University of Birmingham.
