Copyright in the Information Society

Brigitte Lindner, together with her co-editor Ted Shapiro, has published Copyright in the Information Society: A Guide to National Implementation of the European Directive. The book celebrates the 10th anniversary of Directive 2001/29/EC on copyright in the information society with an in-depth review of its implementation at the national level. At the heart of the publication are 27 diverse and thought-provoking essays which explore in detail the ways in which the Directive is implemented and applied in each of the EU Member States. These country chapters are preceded by an extensive Foreword written by the ‘architect’ of the Directive, Dr Jörg Reinbothe, as well as two further stage-setting parts on the WIPO Treaties and the Directive itself.
