Dicey, Morris and Collins

14.12.09

In December 2009, the third supplement to the 14th edition of Dicey, Morris and Collins, The Conflict of Laws was published. Prof. Jonathan Harris is the author of eight chapters. These include chapters on property, trusts, succession, restitution and aspects of the law of jurisdiction and the recognition of foreign judgments. Amongst the important changes to be accommodated in Jonathan’s chapters are: the impending entry into force of the Rome I Regulation on choice of law in contract; the continuing impact of offshore trusts legislation on the recognition of English ancillary relief orders; and the decision in OJSC Oil Co Yugraneft v Abramovich [2008] EWHC 2613.
