We are delighted that Lord Justice Briggs, a former member of Serle Court, will join the Supreme Court as a Justice alongside Lady Justice Black and Lord Justice Lloyd Jones on 2 October 2017, the same date that Lady Hale will be sworn-in officially as President.

Lord Justice Briggs practised as a barrister at Serle Court before he was appointed to the High Court in 2006, assigned to the Chancery Division. He was appointed as a Lord Justice of Appeal in 2013.
