Middle East Association Seminar - The Sharia and the Use of Money

13.02.09

On 5 March 2009 Professor William Ballantyne will be leading a discussion group for the Middle East Association (MEA) on the subject of “The Sharia and the Use of Money”. Ordinarily, these seminars are only open to members of the MEA, however, we are delighted to be able to invite all of our clients to attend this one.

This is the second in a series of three seminars. A summary of the first on “The Laws of the GCC States - What Role for the Islamic Sharia?” is available to download from the articles page on this website. The third will be on “The Dubai and Qatar Financial Centres” and our clients will also be able to attend.

The seminar is being held at Bury House, 33 Bury Street, London SW1Y 6AX. It will start at 4.30 and run for 2 hours.

To register for this seminar, please e mail Jacqui Marshall at the MEA jacqui@the-mea.co.uk . There will be a small charge of £25 per person to cover the cost of refreshments.
