Following a delay caused by Brexit, a much-anticipated bill that seeks to tighten the rules on marriage and wills has been put on hold. Constance McDonnell QC said the current lack of protection was "startling", adding: "Heirs and beneficiaries of the deceased could find themselves completely disinherited due to these rules, while a predatory spouse walks away with hundreds of thousands of pounds."
