Overview

Jennifer is an accredited CEDR mediator and mediation is forming an increasing part of her practice. Her mediation practice reflects both her areas of practice as an advocate/adviser and her recognised client handling skills and commercial approach.   She has acted as mediator in partnership, wills, trusts, property, company and commercial disputes.  She has received very positive feedback from clients and is happy to provide references.

Recent examples of disputes in which Jennifer has acted as mediator include the following:
 
A dispute between members of a farming family partnership and legal and tax advisers concerning the dissolution of the partnership and a proprietary estoppel claim to the farmland used by the partnership.
 
A dispute between the beneficiaries of two conflicting wills about the testator’s testamentary capacity.
 
A dispute between two donees of a Lasting Power of Attorney as to major decisions affecting the donor’s financial affairs and care.
 
A contractual dispute relating to a holiday park development.
 
A boundary dispute.
 
A dispute between shareholders of a quasi-partnership company.
 
An inheritance act claim.
 
A claim for breach of a business sale agreement.
 
A dispute between the partners in a solicitors’ firm.
 
The vast majority settled at the mediation or within 48 hours of the mediation finishing.
