Andrew Bruce was interviewed by Citywealth on 1 March 2022

Andrew Bruce was interviewed by Citywealth on 1 March 2022 as part of an article entitled "Art & Sustainability: Evolving Trends and Established Traditions".  In the article Andrew explains how the art market has responded to the Covid-19 pandemic and how digital art & NFTs are developing (and the issues that they raise).

Andrew is on Citywealth's Leaders List for his expertise in art-related litigation. Over the last 10 years Andrew has developed a specialisation in litigation relating to art and cultural property and Andrew is now regularly instructed by the leading firms on art matters (whether it be acting for collectors, artists, galleries, dealers, auction-houses or lenders).  Although this is an area of law where cases rarely reach the Courts and much of the work is confidential, Andrew was junior counsel for the Claimant in the most important art case of the last decade: Thwaytes v. Sotheby’s – the case about Caravaggio’s ‘Cardsharps’.  Andrew's expertise and experience was recognised when he was among the first to be appointed to the panel of arbitrators for the Court of Arbitration for Art (CAfA) based in The Hague in 2019.
