Most of Serle Court’s work comes directly from solicitors. You can instruct our barristers through our Practice Management Team (clerks) or by contacting individual barristers directly.
Our Practice Managers are focused on understanding your needs and ensuring they provide the right barrister or team for each instruction. On the rare occasion that we cannot offer appropriate counsel from within Chambers, we will recommend practitioners from other reputable sets.
Fee arrangements are determined on a case-by-case basis. Members generally charge an hourly rate, with brief fees and refreshers. In some cases, a fixed fee can be agreed upon. We also consider Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs) and partial CFAs. The Practice Management Team is always happy to discuss fees and provide estimates on request.
For more information or to request an estimate, please get in touch with the Practice Management Team.
We operate a strict policy of not double-booking without consent. Where members appear on opposite sides of the same case, we maintain robust confidentiality procedures, including the complete separation of clerking and document handling, so that clients can be assured that confidentiality is fully upheld.
