A significant proportion of our work originates overseas. We maintain strong relationships with professional clients in all the main jurisdictions.
Our members regularly advise and appear in proceedings around the world, including Anguilla, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Middle East, New South Wales, Norway, Panama, Russia, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
Our barristers are highly experienced in cross-border work and in collaborating closely with lawyers internationally. Many members have been called to the Bar in foreign jurisdictions, and we are able to take a hands-on approach to foreign litigation, whether on the ground or from London, as each case requires.
In most circumstances, you can instruct our barristers directly. Where it is more appropriate to instruct the barrister through a solicitor, we can guide you through the process and recommend appropriate firms from our extensive list of instructing solicitors.
Fee arrangements are determined on a case-by-case basis. Our members generally charge an hourly rate, with brief fees and refreshers. In some cases, a fixed fee can be agreed upon. We also consider Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs) and partial CFAs. The Practice Management Team is always happy to discuss fee options and provide estimates.
For more information or to request an estimate, please contact the Practice Management Team.
