We are delighted to announce that following the judging of the recent Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2021 contest, Serle Court has been selected to be included in Citywealth's shortlist for Chambers of the Year, and James Brightwell has been selected to be included in the shortlist for Barrister of the Year.  

Citywealth’s Magic Circle Awards were established 16 years ago to highlight the excellence of the advisers and managers in the private wealth industry.

Serle Court is widely acknowledged as a leading set for both contentious and non-contentious trusts and probate work. Members’ work and expertise includes both onshore and offshore trusts and probate litigation, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975 and as

You can count on him to do exactly what he says he will", he has "strong tactical nous" and "marvellous attention to detail."  Much of his work is offshore and almost all of it has an international aspect. He has particular experience of litigation in Jersey and Guernsey.  A co-author of the 20th edition of Lewin on Trusts, James is recognised as an expert in trusts law and is described in Legal 500 as a "hardworking and enthusiastic trust specialist".
