Solicitors

The majority of Serle Court’s work comes directly from solicitors. You can instruct our barristers through our clerks or by contacting the barristers directly.

Our clerks are focused on your needs and will strive to ensure that they provide the right barrister or team for each job. On the rare occasions that we cannot offer suitable barristers from amongst our own members we will recommend counsel from other chambers.

The type of fee arrangement will be determined on a case by case basis. Our members generally charge an hourly rate, with brief fees and refreshers. In some cases, a fixed fee can be agreed.  We also consider Conditional Fee Agreements and partial Conditional Fee Agreements. We operate a strict policy of not double booking without consent. Where members are instructed on opposite sides of the same case we understand the need for confidentiality and have put in place effective systems to ensure the separation of clerking and document handling, so that you may be confident that confidentiality is maintained.
