Ranked in band 1 in all of Commercial Dispute Resolution, Commercial Chancery, Traditional Chancery, Offshore and Trusts by Chambers and Partners, Liz’s practice sits firmly where commercial litigation, fraud and private client meet. Most of Liz’s cases involve several jurisdictions; in the last year she has been working on cases in Jersey, BVI and Hong Kong as well as a long running fraud spanning Kentucky, Australia and New Zealand. Richard has a practice encompassing litigation, drafting and advisory work across a wide range of traditional and commercial chancery, with a strong emphasis on trusts and probate (both contentious and non-contentious), related company and partnership law, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, tax, professional negligence and civil fraud. Ollie’s current or recent fraud cases include acting for an international film Group in bringing bribery claims against its former treasury manager and FX broker; and acting for c.45 victims of an FX Ponzi scheme carried out in the US in bringing an action in dishonest assistance against the London-based FX broker used by the fraudsters.
In the contentious trusts sphere, current or recent cases include acting for the Interim Administrators of the BVI, English and Singaporean estates of a deceased Russian oligarch, acting for one of two adult beneficiaries in complex proceedings in Jersey concerning three trusts which hold a prominent global business, and several cases in the Channel Islands in which Ollie is instructed for trustees bringing claims for breach of trust against former trustees.
Sparsh is a commercial chancery barrister with a heavy focus on company, trusts and offshore disputes. A rarity for someone of his call, he is regularly instructed as sole counsel on offshore matters. Examples of his present matters include a dispute regarding the powers and duties of an interim administration of a valuable BVI estate, a claim that a settlor did not properly divest himself of the ownership of assets settled in a Cayman law discretionary trust, and a claim to breach of contractual duties regarding the management of offshore social casino gaming platforms. Sparsh has also appeared before the Privy Council twice as part of a counsel team ("Chu v Lau" [2020] UKPC 24 on appeal from the BVI, and "Perry v Lopag" [2023] UKPC 16 on appeal from the Cayman Islands). Andrew has a busy Commercial Chancery practice across Chambers’ core areas, with interests in civil fraud and asset tracing, offshore and domestic trusts litigation, matrimonial finance, insolvency, company, and property law. Claudia has a broad commercial and chancery practice, with a particular focus on civil fraud and commercial disputes. Before coming to the Bar, Claudia practiced as a solicitor at Allen & Overy LLP (now A&O Shearman) in the litigation, arbitration and investigations team in Dubai. Isaac joined chambers in 2025 following the successful completion of pupillage, under the supervision of Jennifer Meech, Matthew Morrison KC, Thomas Elias, Emma Hargreaves, and Michael Walsh KC. Before joining the Bar, Isaac studied Law at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, graduating with double first-class honours. He then completed the BCL at Oxford with Merit and the BVS at City, University of London with Distinction. He has been awarded multiple scholarships, including the Queen Mother Scholarship from Middle Temple.

Matthew Sharp leads Brown Rudnick’s Tax Controversy and Litigation Group in London. His practice focuses on complex and high-value tax litigation, as well as commercial litigation involving tax. Clementine is a partner at Payne Hicks Beach specialising in private wealth disputes. Claire is co-head of Litigation & Insolvency and Restructuring in the British Virgin Islands. She joined us in 2014 after having spent five years at another leading BVI law firm. She has extensive experience of complex multi-jurisdictional corporate and commercial litigation, trusts, fraud and asset tracing and insolvency and restructuring matters and has worked with a wide variety of clients. Claire also regularly represents clients in the BVI courts on a number of interlocutory applications including urgent applications for injunctions, the appointment of interim receivers and other forms of interim relief.
Claire has worked on some of the leading cases in the jurisdiction including the Fairfield litigation where she represented a number of banks that had invested into Fairfield Sentry Ltd which was a feeder fund into Bernard Madoff Investment Securities Limited. She has also worked on some of the largest and most complex enforcement claims in order to enforce foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the BVI.
Prior to moving offshore Claire worked at Slaughter and May and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in London. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2004. Claire was also a lecturer in constitutional and administrative Law at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.

Ben is a partner, and the Head of Litigation Funding, at Hereford Litigation. Sebastian Auer is a partner at Gasser Partner in Liechtenstein. He specialises in contentious and non-contentious Private Wealth Law in general. His main focus in this area are cross-border trust and foundation disputes. He is experienced in handling complex litigation and arbitration cases, often including parties in several different jurisdictions. In addition, he regularly provides advice to clients in relation to private wealth vehicles and asset planning. Sebastian regularly publishes on litigation and arbitration matters, for instance on trustee liability, the removal of organs of legal entities, the connection between ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals and is a regular speaker at international conferences. Jonathan is Peters & Peters’ Head of Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud. Jonathan has over 30 years of specialist experience focused on complex international and commercial disputes, civil fraud and asset recovery with ground-breaking experience in multi-jurisdictional emergency procedures, including asset freezing and search and seizure orders.
Jonathan also has extensive experience in large-scale competition damages claims, having acted for the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care for over 20 years in a significant number of pharmaceutical damages, fraud and cartel claims.
Jonathan’s work ranges from the conduct of internal investigations, the diversion of business opportunities and breaches of fiduciary duty to claims involving deceit, bribery and secret profits.
Sarah is a dispute resolution Partner, who qualified in England & Wales in 2014, and relocated to the BVI in 2020. She advises on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including contractual and corporate disputes, often involving allegations of unfair prejudice, as well as trusts and estates litigation matters and a wide variety of insolvency and restructuring cases. Sarah's recent work includes acting in an application by trustees for directions in a case involving issues of capacity, and acting as part of the team advising the liquidators of Three Arrows Capital, one of the largest hedge fund insolvencies, in respect of the claims against the directors and founders, which has included obtaining a worldwide freezing injunction for one of the largest amounts ordered in the BVI. She has also represented joint liquidators in applying to unwind a transaction as an unfair preference, which went to trial in September 2025. Sarah's experience includes the recent cross-border restructuring of six BVI companies placed into "light touch" provisional liquidation for this purpose. She regularly advises insolvency practitioners on matters including obtaining sanction to bring legal proceedings or take other significant steps in the course of a liquidation. Sarah has extensive experience of applying for and challenging urgent interim relief, including proprietary and freezing injunctions, Norwich Pharmacal relief, and applications to appoint receivers or provisional liquidators. She was involved in Claimant X v A TVI Company, in which one of the first orders under the BVI's statutory provision for obtaining free-standing interim relief in support of foreign proceedings was granted.
Charlie advises high-net-worth entrepreneurs and their family offices on trust structuring, tax matters and estate planning, and her work frequently includes international tax considerations.
Her particular focuses are on international trust litigation, and advising US connected persons on UK tax issues.
Charlie was seconded to a leading law firm in Bermuda and she regularly speaks at international conferences – recently she has presented in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda and she co-chairs the Transcontinental Trusts Forum in Istanbul each year.
