Claudia has a broad experience of commercial litigation, both during pupillage and as a solicitor, and assisted in numerous cases before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Claudia has a particular interest and broad experience in civil fraud, especially with an international dimension. During pupillage she successfully assisted Max Marenbon in Glenea Contracts v Friel [2024] EWHC 1243 (Ch), an employee fraud trial.

Claudia (led by Simon Hattan and Oliver Jones) acts for the claimants in proceedings in the Chancery Division (Various claimants v Equiti Capital UK Limited) claiming compensation of over $40 million from the defendant for its dishonest assistance and knowing receipt in a fraudulent foreign exchange based investment scheme. 

During pupillage, Claudia assisted Michael Walsh in obtaining interim remedies (including freezing and proprietary injunctions) for banks. She has broad experience of this area from her work as a solicitor.

Claudia (led by Dakis Hagen KC and Oliver Jones) is currently advising the trustees of a Jersey trust worth around CHF 400 million. 

During pupillage, Claudia assisted numerous members of Chambers on a range of contentious private client work, including preparing advice and pleadings, and attending conferences and a mediation. Much of this work had a company law element.

During pupillage, Claudia assisted Jonathan McDonagh with various matters, including conflicts issues, in Munícipio de Mariana and oths v BHP Group (the Fundão Dam disaster litigation).

Before coming to the Bar, Claudia was a disputes solicitor with Allen & Overy in Dubai. During pupillage, Claudia assisted Rupert Reed KC with an ongoing shareholder dispute in Dubai.

During pupillage, Claudia assisted Michael Walsh with a professional negligence claim.

During pupillage, Claudia assisted Jonathan McDonagh in Munícipio de Mariana and oths v BHP Group (the Fundão Dam disaster litigation).

Claudia (led by Michael Walsh) acts for the respondents in the Court of Appeal in Abacus Land 4 Limited v Bradley & Rhodes. The Court will consider the meaning of reasonableness in the context of the exercise of a contractual discretion in service charge clauses under a lease. The Court will be asked to resolve the conflict between authorities of the Upper Tribunal and determine whether the test is objective reasonableness or mere rationality in the Braganza sense.

Claudia (led by Michael Walsh) acts for the defendant in relation to the allegedly fraudulently misrepresented financing of various property developments.

During pupillage, Claudia assisted Michael Walsh on a wide variety of property law matters.

During pupillage, Claudia worked on a large number of matters involving trademark infringement, passing off and copyright infringement.

Claudia successfully assisted Stephanie Wickenden and Niamh Herrett in defending a trademark and passing off claim in Thatchers Cider Company Limited v Aldi Stores Limited [2024] EWHC 88 (IPEC).

She further assisted Stephanie Wickenden in Court of Appeal in easyGroup Limited v Nuclei Limited and others [2023] EWCA Civ 1247.
