Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Antitrust: The end of competition as we know it - or business as usual?

Location: Watson Farley & Williams, 15 Appold Street, London EC2A 2HB

The Competition Law Association will be holding an evening meeting on Tuesday, 8 October at Watson Farley & Williams to discuss "Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Antitrust: The end of competition as we know it - or business as usual?".

Professor Suzanne Rab alongside Matt Alison (policy manager at Vodafone Group) will be speaking at the event, looking into the following questions:

  • Does al widen the set of circumstances in which known forms of anticompetitive conduct occur?
  • Does use of algorithms bring newer forms of anticompetitive conduct which challenge traditional antitrust orthodoxy?
  • What are the implications for policy?
