Former Serle Court member, Lord Briggs of Westbourne, appointed as next President of the Supreme Court
His Majesty The King has approved the appointment of Lord Briggs of Westbourne as the next President of the Supreme Court. Lord Briggs will take up his new role in January 2027.
All at Serle Court extend their warmest congratulations to our distinguished former member and friend, Lord Briggs of Westbourne, on his appointment as the next President of the Supreme Court.
We could not be prouder of Lord Briggs, who has shown himself over decades in practice and then on the bench to be the finest equity lawyer of his generation. He has most deservedly attained the summit of judicial office.
