Junior Litigators’ Forum by Informa

Serle Court is pleased to sponsor the upcoming Junior Litigators’ Forum conference from ConTrA and Informa Connect. Returning for the 3rd edition of this ‘Staycation’ focused on trusts and estate issues, the conference will take place from 4 to 5 June 2026 in Bristol.

Thomas Fletcher will be speaking on Thursday, 4 June from 11:20 – 12:20 on a panel discussing “Challenging trustee decision-making: practical tips from both trustee and Beneficiary perspectives.” Thomas will be speaking alongside Alona Golling (Summit Group) and Rowan Cope (Farrer & Co.) This discussion will touch on topics such as:

  • How should trustees make and evidence their decisions so as to stand the best chance of “being blessed”?
  • How far can you get the Courts to go in picking apart a trustee decision? A view from the Savannah in Re the Rhino Settlement and the Buffalo and Giraffe Trusts [2026] JRC 025
  • The other side of the coin: challenging trustee decisions once made

Then, on Friday, 5 June from 10:20 – 11:00, Anneliese Mondschein will be featured on a panel covering “Case law updates: Would I lie to you?” Also featured on the panel is Catherine Walsh (Irwin Mitchell) and Poppy Rimington-Pounder (Radcliffe Chambers).
