Conor Quigley QC has been reappointed as Arbitrator to the Shanghai International Arbitration Center

We are delighted to announce that Conor Quigley QC has been reappointed as arbitrator to the Shanghai International Arbitration Center, effective from 1 August 2021 to August 2026. Conor is an expert in EU law generally, including, in particular State Aid and subsidies, competition law and international trade law.

In relation to WTO and EU international subsidies law, a new EU Regulation is due to be adopted shortly extending many of the principles of State aid law to trade with third countries, notably China. As a result, Conor will be including a new chapter in the 4th edition of European State Aid Law & Policy which is due for publication in Spring 2022.

Chinese and Hong Kong competition law is constantly developing into international trade relations and this builds on the Hong Kong law as set out in Quigley & Rab, Hong Kong Competition Law (2016).
