In this Private Client Trusts & Probate SerleShare John Eldridge discusses the landmark decision of the Court of Appeal handed down on Friday, 15th October 2021 in Hirachand v Hirachand [2021] EWCA Civ 1498, in which it was held that an award under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 may include a lump sum to enable the claimant to discharge all or part of a success fee payable under a conditional fee agreement.
