D.W. Windsor Limited v Urbis Schreder Ltd [2025] EWHC 563 (IPEC)
Judgment has been handed down in D.W. Windsor Limited v Urbis Schreder Ltd [2025] EWHC 563 (IPEC), a patents dispute, following a 2-day trial in the IPEC on 17 and 18 December 2024.
D.W. Windsor, a leading British designer and manufacturer of lighting solutions, brought a claim against Urbis Schreder alleging infringement of two of its patents. By the time of trial only the validity of the patents was in issue. In a 126-paragraph judgment, H.H.J. Melissa Clarke held that key claims of the patents were valid and admitted infringed.
