Leading commercial and civil fraud barrister joins Serle Court
Serle Court is pleased to announce that leading commercial and civil fraud barrister Marc Delehanty has joined Chambers.
Marc’s practice covers a wide range of Commercial and Civil Fraud litigation. He has extensive experience of the cut and thrust of injunction applications and his cases are frequently international in nature. His talent and reputation have seen him twice appear in the Supreme Court, including conducting oral advocacy, on important appeals concerning jurisdiction, conspiracy claims and asset recovery using insolvency tools. He is also regularly instructed in disputes concerning gambling.
Marc is ranked as a leading junior barrister by Chambers and Partners (2024 edition) for three different practice areas: Commercial Dispute Resolution, Civil Fraud and Gambling Disputes, and he is described in that directory as “very bright, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the law” and as a barrister whose “determination and tenacity is excellent and a real bonus in hard-fought commercial fraud litigation”. The Legal 500 directory (2024 edition) recommends him in both their Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud categories.
Marc commented, “I am excited to make Serle Court my new professional home, and to work alongside the talented barristers here who excel in commercial and civil fraud litigation".
Chambers Director, Kathryn Purkis says, “We are delighted to welcome Marc Delehanty to Chambers. Marc has really made a name for himself acting in some of the highest profile civil fraud cases in recent times, instructed by prominent firms many of whom are already our clients. He therefore strengthens even further one of Serle Court’s core specialisms and deepens some key relationships. We are also excited to be able to offer to the market his top-tier, niche expertise in gambling law. We very much look forward to getting to know him better as a colleague and a friend”.
