Legal 500 Private Practice Arbitration Powerlist - Middle East Region

We are delighted that Rupert Reed KC has been included in The Legal 500 Private Practice Arbitration Powerlist, which recognises many of the leading arbitration practitioners working in the Middle East region.

Rupert acts as leading counsel and arbitrator in high-value disputes in arbitrations seated in London and the UAE.  He has experience of most institutional rules, but has particular experience of the LCIA and DIAC Rules.  He further has significant experience of appearing in the DIFC Courts in applications to the DIFC Courts in their supervisory and supportive jurisdictions.  His principle areas of practice are commercial, company, trusts, banking and finance, real property and civil fraud. 

He has a working knowledge of Arabic, Arab civil law and Islamic law, which often inform the applicable law in disputes in which he works.

He is the co-editor of the leading text on DIFC Law, and has served on the DIAC Rules Task Force and DIFC Courts’ Arbitration Working Group.  He is a member of the DIAC Court.
