Michael Walsh joins Serle Court as a full-time member of chambers

Serle Court is delighted to welcome Michael Walsh as a full-time member of chambers. Michael frequently appears in the Court of Appeal, High Court, County Court, and Tribunals in connection with his expertise in all aspects of property law and commercial chancery work. He also advises on a wide range of professional liability matters. He receives regular instructions in cases and projects where development finance, securities, planning, and compulsory purchase intersect with the law of real property. Michael draws on his broad expert knowledge to advise clients on how to best achieve their strategic goals in complex cases and transactions.

Michael has significant experience in commercial and contractual disputes across various sectors, including financial services, leisure, and the hospitality industry.

Chambers Director Kathryn Purkis commented as follows:

"Michael is a truly fantastic new addition to our property team, and we are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to join Chambers. Our property team expanded last year with the joinder of Jennifer Meech, whose expertise lies in property-focussed insolvency. Michael's practice similarly centres on the overlap between property and commercial disputes and so extends that offering further. He is well-known to us already as a strong team player and powerful advocate, and we very much look forward to working alongside him in chambers".
