Pride Month 2022

At the end of Pride Month 2022, we reflect on the efforts of the bar and legal profession to champion diversity and inclusion.

On 10 June, The Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn welcomed our barristers to a ‘Diversity Dinner’ to celebrate Pride Month 2022 and raise funds for akt, an LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity working with young people aged 16 - 25 who are struggling with their housing situation or living in a hostile environment.

We recently announced that we are now proud participants of the COMBAR Mentoring Scheme for Under-Represented Groups.  Applicants wishing to participate in the scheme should apply by 16 September.

“Serle Court is committed to increasing diversity at the Bar and pleased to be part of this important initiative to help talented individuals from under-represented backgrounds access the profession. We very much look forward to working with COMBAR and with this year’s mentors and mentees.”

To commemorate 50 years since the first Pride, the heads of Bar Council, the Law Society of England and Wales, and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) are joining together and will be marching for the first time in more than 2 years.

Happy Pride to all our clients and followers!

We look forward to further developing our EDI initiatives to increase diversity at the Bar.
