In her role as Business Development Director, Charlotte oversees client relationship management for chambers and is responsible for devising and implementing chambers’ business development strategy. Charlotte works closely with Chambers Director, Kathryn Purkis, Practice Directors Nick Hockney and Dan Wheeler, and the Marketing Committee on the creation and implementation of the annual BD plan. She is responsible for seeking new business opportunities, growing relationships for chambers, and analysing data.
Charlotte works together with the practice directors and marketing team in order to plan business development activities and establish client care for chambers in all areas of practice – building new relationships and cross-selling services. She also oversees the directories process, Serle Court's PR & communications programme, and the compilation of key conference programmes.
Serle Court received an award for 'Best Marketing Team of the Year' at the Legal 500 UK Bar Awards 2023, and was awarded GOLD for Best BD/Marketing Team and SILVER for Best Social Media Marketing at Citywealth's Brand Management & Reputation Awards 2022.
Charlotte has completed the General Management Certificate of Achievement (GMCA) with Cambridge Judge Business School, and in 2019 she completed the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Prior to joining chambers, Charlotte started her career in legal professional services as a Clerk at 4 New Square, and then at Serle Court. In 2010, she completed the Bar Vocational Course (BVC); now the BPTC, and holds a Law degree from the University of Kent.
