David joined Serle Court in 2019, and was promoted to the new role of ‘Head of Operations’ in May 2023. David is responsible for the management of chambers facilities; buildings repair and maintenance, fire regulation, emergency procedure, security, and health and safety. David is also responsible for the management of the outdoor clerking function, and he has an experienced team working with him to assist with court logistics, events and hospitality, and office administration.  He is the line manager for our front of house, and housekeeping teams. David has over 25 years working in barristers’ chambers, and his knowledge of operations at the bar and in commercial settings is invaluable to his role as Head of Operations.
