Lance practices in commercial, chancery (including company and director disputes) and restructuring/insolvency.  He has appeared as Counsel in LCIA and Electricity Arbitration Association arbitrations, involving international and domestic clients.  He is regularly instructed by Big 4 accountancy firms to provide legal opinions to (non-lawyer) arbitrators and expert determiners, where each party has instructed its own lawyers to make legal submissions.  He sat for 6 years as a Deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery Division and has many years of experience of running a tribunal.  He has undertaken a number of highly confidential internal investigations for firms of solicitors.
