STEP Cayman Conference 2023
John Machell KC will be speaking at the STEP Cayman Conference 2023 International Wealth Structuring Forum taking place on 19th and 20th January 2023 at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
John will be speaking on day 2 at the option 4 breakout session, 'Dealing with insolvent trusts and wasting assets' alongside Andrew Peedom TEP (Collas Crill) and Philippa Stokes TEP, R&H Trust and Corporate (Operating as the R&H Trust Co. Ltd.).
- Does a former trustee have a proprietary right to the trust assets with respect to its costs in proceedings relating to a trust? The panel will consider the nature of a trustee's right of indemnity – particularly where trust liabilities exceed the value of trust assets – and discuss what trustees need to consider in light of a recent decision of the Privy Council.
This event will explore a range of topical issues pertinent to the trust industry with a special focus on wealth structuring.
