Swiss and Liechtenstein STEP Federation Alpine Conference

Richard Wilson KC will be speaking at the Swiss and Liechtenstein STEP Federation Alpine Conference, taking place from 3-4 May 2023.

Richard will be moderating the 'Trust law update: Recent cases, litigation and arbitration' panel on Wednesday, 3rd May, at 16:15 (CEST). Speakers will include Paul Stibbard (Sequent) and David Wallace Wilson (Schellenberg Wittmer).

Richard will also be speaking on Thursday, 4th May at 15:45 (CEST) at the 'Great Debate' session alongside Charles Gothard (Macfarlanes), Florence Guillaume (University of Neuchâtel) and David Wallace Wilson (Schellenberg Wittmer). Filippo Noseda (Mishcon de Reya LLP) will be moderating this session.

Richard is a well-known silk with a practice encompassing litigation, drafting and advisory work across a wide range of traditional and commercial chancery, with a strong emphasis on trusts and probate and inheritance (both contentious and non-contentious), related company and partnership law, claims, tax, professional negligence and civil fraud. He has been involved in many of the most significant and high-value cases in those areas in recent years, including Futter v. Futter [2013] UKSC 26; Gany v Khan [2018] UKPC 21; Grand View Private Trust Company v. Wong [2022] UKPC 47 and the Dawson-Damer litigation. He works in all of the principal offshore jurisdictions, and his cases frequently involve cross-border and private international law elements.

This conference will explore STEP's ever-changing landscape and examine the multiplicity of opportunities it continues to offer. Over 2 days, the Swiss and Liechtenstein STEP Federation Alpine Conference for 2023 will serve as a crucible for the development and exchange of ideas.
