Transcontinental Trusts: Bermuda – 11th Annual Conference | 14-16 May 2025

Serle Court is pleased to sponsor the upcoming Transcontinental Trusts: Bermuda Conference held by Informa Connect. 

The 11th edition hopes to provide attendees with a full review of current challenges in transcontinental trusts and to connect with the entire breadth of the offshore industry. As part of this year's programme, Serle Court members Dan McCourt Fritz KC and Thomas Fletcher will be speaking on panels during days one and two of the conference. 

Thomas will be speaking on Thursday, 15 May from 13:30 – 14:15 on a panel discussing "Controlling trusts – protectors and reserved powers trusts" particularly focusing on the pitfalls of protectors and reserved powers trusts. Thomas is joined by Simon Goldring (Fladgate). 

Dan is speaking on Friday, 16 May from 14:30 – 15:15 on a panel with Jonathan Arr (Macfarlanes) on "Stress-testing trust structures." This discussion will touch on topics such as: 

• How to increase your structure’s resilience
• What risks should you consider and how can you mitigate?
