A significant proportion of our work originates overseas and we have close relationships with professional clients in the Channel Islands and the Caribbean. Members also advise and appear in proceedings in the European Courts as well as in (amongst others) Anguilla, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Middle East, New South Wales, Norway, Panama, Russia, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America.
As a result many members of Serle Court are very experienced in working closely with lawyers from different jurisdictions, and will happily travel abroad when required and a large number of them have been called to the bar in foreign jurisdictions. We can adopt a hands-on approach to foreign litigation either on the ground or from London, as the case requires.
In most circumstances you can instruct the barristers directly. Where it is more appropriate for you to instruct the barrister through a solicitor we can help with this process and will suggest an appropriate firm from our extensive list of instructing solicitors.
