AI and The Intersection With Data Privacy and Data Protection
Location: Online (Zoom)
Join Professor Suzanne Rab, in partnership with ThoughtLeaders4 Disputes for her upcoming webinar, "AI and The Intersection With Data Privacy and Data Protection", on 26 November, 12:00- 1:00 PM. This webinar will focus on the interaction between AI, data protection and data privacy within the context of EU legal and regulatory developments and proposals.
Artificial intelligence (AI) continues to present challenges for regulation when knowledge is still emerging about the underlying phenomena. It raises questions about whether existing legal tools are adequate to address the risks of harmful outcomes while not presenting undue constraints on the benefits that AI can unleash.
Insofar as data is an input to AI models, the intersection with data protection and data privacy has so far been given comparatively less focus. Related developments including the EU Data Act and AI Act are considered from the perspective of the interaction with data protection and privacy laws.
