Forum on Regulatory Cooperation and Culture

Location: Serle Court

Serle Court was delighted to host a breakfast panel seminar in chambers on Friday, 23rd September on the theme of regulatory cooperation and culture in collaboration with The Regulatory Policy Institute.

The session is chaired by Professor Suzanne Rab with panel members drawn from regulated sectors in the UK and internationally, including Jamie McRorie and Kristian Marr (Ofgem) Carole Begent and Andrew Self (Payment Systems Regulator), Jane Jellis (Ofwat), Stephen Bass (UK Regulators' Network), Mark Mills (Hong Kong Competition Commission), and Euan Morton (The Regulatory Policy Institute ANZ).

The session included an interactive discussion on the challenges and opportunities presented by digitisation concerning regulatory collaboration and culminates a visit welcoming a group of regulators from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for an advanced programme of education and training in the theory and practice of regulation.

The programme began at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford and is supported by the CITC as part of the KSA’s Digital Regulatory Academy. It builds on an online course delivered in December 2021 and in-person training delivered and led in person by Professor Suzanne Rab in the fundamentals of regulation in Riyadh in June 2022.
