Jonathan Fowles writes an article for the Civil Society: Governance & Leadership

In a recent article for Civil Society: Governance & Leadership titled ‘A fine balance’, Serle Court's Jonathan Fowles argues that the law and guidance governing UK charities is, for the most part, spot on when it comes to political campaigning and that this should give charities confidence.

The full article is available here (behind a paywall).

Jonathan is also one of the editors of the 11th Edition of Tudor on Charities (Sweet & Maxwell, Thomson Reuters), published in 2022. The leading work on the law of charities has been completely updated to take account of all the relevant changes in legislation and case law since the supplement to the previous (10th) edition was published in 2018. Key recent developments include the Charities Act 2022 and important decisions of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
