Bar Pro Bono Awards 2013

We are proud to announce that Nicholas Asprey has been nominated for this year’s Bar Pro Bono Awards.

He has been nominated for his work with a historic charity which was set up for the accommodation of disabled servicemen and their families and which had recently been ‘taken over’ by a housing association. The charity needed to re-establish its independence and the obvious solution was to apply to the Charity Commission for a scheme, however, as the charity had surrendered its independence this route seemed to be blocked. Finally a way round this was found, the application was made and the housing association threw in the towel.
