James Weale is named ‘Barrister of the Week’ by The Lawyer

The Lawyer has named James Weale ‘Barrister of the Week’ following his success in Schwartz v VGV (UK) Ltd [2020] EWHC 2227 (Ch) in committal proceedings against a trustee and protector following a 5-day trial before Mr Justice Roth.  

James is also recognised for his work on other high value trust cases including, Wong v Grand View Private Trust Company and ord, Sofer v SwissIndependent Trustees Ltd [2020] EWCA Civ 699, Cobussen Principal Investment Holdings Ltd v Akbar [2020] EWHC 476 and Filatona v Trading Ltd v Navigator Equities Ltd [2020] EWCA Civ 109.

James has recently been named as one of the Top 10 Trust Litigation Barristers in Citywealth’s Leaders 2020.
