Tudor on Charities

The First Supplement to ‘Tudor on Charities, 10th Edition’ by William Henderson and Jonathan Fowles of Serle Court is now available to purchase from Sweet & Maxwell. Julian Smith of Farrer & Co has also written a chapter for the book on the taxation of charities.  

This supplement takes account of the development in the statute and common law relevant to charities since the previous edition was published in 2003. Some of key updates include: The decision of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal given by Lord Walker of Gestingthorpe in Chinachem Charitable Foundation Ltd v The Secretary for Justice and Sir Geoffrey Vos C’s and the Court of Appeal’s judgments in Lehtimaki v Children’s Investment Foundation UK and Children’s Investment Fund Foundation v Attorney General.
