Henry Fahrenkamp is building a broad commercial and chancery practice across Chambers’ core specialisms.

Henry joined Serle Court in October 2025 after completing pupillage under the supervision of Michael Walsh KC, Harry Martin, Thomas Elias, Gareth Tilley and Oliver Jones. As a pupil, he assisted with an array of contentious and non-contentious matters across practice areas including property, company, civil fraud, offshore and international, and private client.

Before coming to the Bar, Henry was a stipendiary lecturer in law at Magdalen College and New College, Oxford. He maintains a keen interest in classical Roman law and continues teaching at Oxford alongside his practice.

  • Assisted Harry Martin in proceedings concerning a complex offshore trust structure, which involved Public Trustee v Cooper applications and drafting pleadings in a claim for breach of trust.
  • Assisted Harry Martin in researching the disclosure entitlements of potential future objects of a trust.
  • Assisted Harry Martin on several estate planning matters, including a dispute concerning the tax implications of a will variation under s.142 IHTA, and a claim for rectification of a family settlement.

  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in defending a claim for damages in excess of £13 million for unlawful forfeiture.
  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in advising on a dilapidations dispute relating to a lease of commercial premises.
  • Drafted proceedings for injunctive relief in a residential property dispute.

  • Assisted Oliver Jones in drafting pleadings for a claim against former trustees of a Jersey trust for mismanagement of its investment portfolio.

  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in a claim concerning the dissipation of assets subject to a failed security interest, and the restoration of that interest.
  • Assisted Oliver Jones in proceedings arising out of alleged dishonest assistance in a fraudulent property investment scheme.

  • Assisted Thomas Elias in preparations for the trial of two conjoined unfair prejudice petitions in respect of a shareholding alleged to be worth in excess of £15 million.
  • Assisted Daniel Lightman KC and Wilson Leung in proceedings about the remedial framework for written resolution procedures under Part 13 of the Companies Act 2006.
