Nia Moseley-Roberts is building a broad commercial and chancery practice across Chambers’ core specialisms. As a pupil, Nia worked on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters including property, private client, offshore and international, and professional negligence.

Nia joined Chambers in March 2026, after successfully completing pupillage under the supervision of Harry Martin, Michael Walsh KC and Jonathan Upton KC.

Nia studied English at Clare Collage, Cambridge, graduating with double-first class honours and several university prizes. She then pursued postgraduate study at Oxford before completing the GDL and Bar Course at BPP, funded by scholarships from Gray’s Inn.

  • Assisted in drafting advice on the damages recoverable for the late delivery of an oil rig.

  • Assisted in writing submissions on the interpretation of procedural rules under the Hong Kong government’s new short-form arbitration procedure (SCC 59).

  • Assisted Jonathan Upton KC in drafting an appeal skeleton for a case concerning breach of a repairing covenant.
  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in an application opposing Aarhus Costs protection under the Aarhus Convention in a judicial review claim concerning farming subsidy payments under the EU’s single payment scheme.
  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in drafting a Defence in a redemption claim.
  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in drafting a position statement on case concerning the registration of land charges.
  • Assisted in advising on the expert evidence required to make and defend against a £30 million fire safety claim.
  • Assisted in advising on whether a freeholder could claim £35 million in relation to defects in areas of a high rise building for which it was not legally responsible.

  • Assisted Harry Martin in drafting a Reply and an RFI in a case involving a misrepresentation claim in relation to a guarantee agreement for the sale of a valuable modern art painting.
  • Assisted Harry Martin in drafting an appeal skeleton in a case concerning disputed title to a valuable watch.

  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC in drafting pre-action correspondence and Particulars of Claim in a £50 million negligent breach of duty claim against a government agency.
  • Assisted on advising on the effect of a novation upon a property developer’s £400 million claim in professional negligence and under the Defective Premises Act 1972 against a designer.

  • Drafted advice on the application of the Building Safety Act 2022 in an insolvency context.
  • Represented a party in the Winding Up Court.
  • With Matthew Innes, prepared a challenge to an administrator’s application to the court to fix his remuneration.
