Sessi is building a broad commercial chancery practice and accepts instructions across Chambers’ core specialisms. As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in a wide range of contentious and advisory work, including commercial litigation, civil fraud, arbitration, insolvency, private client, and international and offshore matters.

Sessi joined Chambers in October 2026, following the successful completion of pupillage under the supervision of Oliver Jones, Marc Delehanty, Gregor Hogan and Sophie Holcombe.

Areas of Expertise

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in contractual disputes and commercial litigation, including:

  • Drafting particulars of claim for breach of contract and deceit arising from receivables purchase agreement.
  • Assisting Marc Delehanty in advising on potential claims for unlawful means conspiracy and inducing breach of contract against a shadow director.
  • Assisting Sophie Holcombe with an application for strike-out and summary judgment in a claim worth over £50m brought by venture capital trusts concerning alleged transfers of investments at an undervalue.
  • Drafting a skeleton argument for the defendants on an application for security for costs against claimant companies in liquidation.
  • Assisting Stephanie Wickenden in drafting an advice on the prospects of setting aside permission to serve malicious falsehood proceedings out of the jurisdiction.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in civil fraud and asset recovery including:

  • Assisting Gregor Hogan in drafting a without notice application in the DIFC Courts for a worldwide freezing order and disclosure pursuant to the Court’s Chabra jurisdiction.
  • Assisting Gregor Hogan in an application in the DIFC Courts to strike out a foreign tax authority’s restitution and knowing receipt claim over alleged fraud proceeds, including abuse of process and the foreign revenue rule.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in international and offshore disputes, including:

  • Assisting Marc Delehanty on forum conveniens and applicable law issues in a financial services dispute involving England and Anguilla.
  • Assisting Michael Walsh KC and Gregor Hogan in advising on interim relief in the Isle of Man in support of an anticipated DIFC judgment concerning the ownership of a gaming business held through a trust.
  • Assisted Michael Walsh KC and Gregor Hogan in drafting a Request for Further Information, in a DIFC claim by a foreign tax authority.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in arbitration and mediation including:

  • Assisting Marc Delehanty in advising on the time limit and procedure for requesting an interpretation of an award under the 2021 UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules in a Bahamas arbitration.
  • Assisting Gregor Hogan in drafting a Statement of Defence and Reply on Counterclaim in consolidated DIAC arbitrations over the sale of diesel cargoes.
  • Assisting Gregor Hogan in an application in the DIFC Courts to set aside an arbitral award arising from a FIDIC construction dispute over a Dubai development.
  • Drafting a mediation position statement in a dispute concerning repayment of a €2 million loan.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in company law disputes including:

  • Assisting Lance Ashworth KC in preparing submissions to the Isle of Man appeal court on whether to order a retrial of an unlawful distribution claim involving alleged breaches of directors’ fiduciary duties.
  • Assisting Marc Delehanty in advising on whether a director’s knowledge is to be attributed to their company for limitation purposes where the director has assisted or induced a third party’s breach of duty owed to the company.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in winding-up petitions and applications for validation orders including:

  • Drafting a skeleton argument for the Secretary of State in a public interest petition under s.124A of the Insolvency Act 1986 to wind up a company selling whisky-cask investments to the public.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in financial services disputes, including:

  • Assisting Marc Delehanty in advising on a claim for damages against an FCA-regulated investment adviser under s.138D of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
  • Drafting Particulars of Claim in a claim for breach of contract and deceit for losses flowing from entry into a Receivables Purchase Agreement.

As a pupil, Sessi gained experience in probate, including:

Assisting in drafting an advice on the merits of a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
