#SerleShare – A level and GCSE Results: The ABC of Legal and Regulatory Challenges

#SerleShare – 2020 has been a year that no-one could have predicted. It is with some irony that one of the areas particularly affected – student grades for A levels and GCSEs – comes from the use of predictions rather than sit-down exams as usual.

In this SerleShare Professor Suzanne Rab reviews the latest legal and regulatory developments on the approach to awarding of results and the potential routes to challenge.  She also reflects on a number of open questions as students and academic institutions consider their options, particularly as many students face the prospect of deferral at their first choice university in the face of unprecedented numbers meeting the grade this year.

If you are affected by any of the issues discussed in this briefing please contact Professor Suzanne Rab’s clerk at swhitaker@serlecourt.co.uk
