Mediation in Competition and Regulation

Location: Serle Court

With mounting interest in Europe in private enforcement of competition disputes, it is timely to consider alternative forms of resolution beyond a competition authority, including mediation. The benefits of mediation, including confidentiality and flexibility, are particularly well suited to disputes raising competition law or regulatory issues.

The Honourable Mr Justice Barling will chair the session. Beverly-Ann Rogers will discuss current trends in mediation and why this is topical now. Suzanne Rab will discuss the role and potential of mediation in competition cases with a focus on highly regulated sectors. Emanuela Lecchi, our guest speaker and newly appointed Head of Competition at the GSMA will provide an insight into mediation in telecommunications cases.

This seminar is now fully booked.
