Serle Speak Live: an audience with our insolvency barristers

Location: The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1PL

Serle Court’s insolvency barristers invite you to an inaugural half-day Insolvency and Restructuring Conference on Thursday, 28th September 2023, at the Law Society.

At Serle Court, our members undertake work in all areas of restructuring and insolvency, from large corporate insolvencies to personal bankruptcy cases.  Insolvency litigation involving allegations of fraud is a key area of strength, drawing on chambers' expertise in civil fraud matters. Chambers is also well known for company lawtrustsproperty and professional negligence work and our barristers are uniquely placed to assist when these practice areas overlap with insolvency or restructuring issues.

Our panel sessions will cover:

  • Some key issues discussed by the counsel team in the BHS litigation
  • Insolvency: the strongest weapon in fraud cases litigation
  • Recent developments in cross-border insolvency
  • Cryptocurrencies and digital assets in insolvency
  • From Sequana to Stanford: claims against directors for preferential payments

This conference aims to deliver high-quality and engaging topics and great networking opportunities for delegates to meet our barristers and our restructured practice management team headed by Nick  Hockney and Daniel Wheeler.
