Breakfast seminar: Contempt Applications and Committal Orders: Recent Developments and Practical Application

Elizabeth Jones KCJames WealeGareth Tilley, and Zahler Bryan will be presenting a breakfast seminar and discussion workshop themed around contempt applications and committal orders on Thursday, 25th May.

The seminar will cover various topics arising from recent cases, such as dealing with disclosure and abuse of process, mandatory orders, funding, including legal aid and frozen funds, the right to silence and privilege against self-incrimination, procedural traps and safeguards, drafting orders and counts, costs and sentencing, including the court’s power to stay.

Registration will open from 8.15 am, a light breakfast served from 8.30 am, and the panel discussion will start at 9am.
