NLJ Book review: Minority Shareholders: Law, Practice & Procedure (7th Edition)
Six Serle Court barristers, Daniel Lightman KC, Tim Collingwood KC, Giles Richardson KC, David Drake, Thomas Elias and Zahler Bryan, together with former Serle Court member Victor Joffe KC, SC (who now practices at Temple Chambers, Hong Kong), have co-authored the 7th Edition of Minority Shareholders: Law, Practice, and Procedure, which was published by Oxford University Press earlier this year.
What has become the leading practitioner textbook on minority shareholder rights and litigation has just been reviewed very positively in the New Law Journal. The reviewers, Harriet Campbell and James Harrison of Penningtons Manches Cooper, praised the 7th Edition for “its impressive range and depth of content,” highlighting that “the true value of this book is that it guides practitioners through the entire process of each kind of dispute, from the initial letter before action (including the actual precedent in the appendix) in an unfair prejudice petition, to the costs position at the conclusion of a derivative claim.” They describe it as “an invaluable work for those interested in or advising on shareholder disputes. Its reworked content since the 2018 edition will be an essential companion to legal practitioners...”
